1) Sweater dress with ankle boots
Both longer and shorter sweater dresses can be paired with ankle boots during the colder months. I recommend playing around with different colors of sweater dresses while keeping your ankle boots a neutral color. This makes sense because you want your boots to be able to be worn with different colors of dresses.

You could pair a midi dress with a pair of plain black ankle boots for a cozy look you could wear to the office and happy hour right after. Feel free to add a trench coat to your outfit to really elevate your overall look. If your dress has short sleeves, you could opt for a black leather jacket instead.
2) Midi sweater dress with heels
If you’re wearing a sweater dress for a formal event, you may want to ditch the boots for a pair of heels. For a cocktail event, pair a black sweater dress with a pair of strappy heels for a sleek look. You could stick to boots by opting for a pair of ankle boots with a heel.
For special occasions, I recommend opting for maxi or midi sweater dresses because they tend to be more formal and respect more dress codes. Consider wearing a midi sweater dress in a solid color with a pair of heels for your office party.

3) Mini sweater dress with tall boots
An easy way to add some sexiness to your Fall and winter wardrobe is to wear a short sweater dress and pair it with over the knee boots. If it’s not too cold, you could get away with not wearing any leggings or tights underneath.
The little peak of thigh skin would be eye-catching and make you stand out. A great alternative would be to throw on a pair of tights or leggings underneath to add some extra warmth to your outfit.
