10 Chic Jeans With Heels Outfits to Wear This Year

Although denim is widely considered a casual fabric, pairing denim jeans with a pair of high heels completely brings this look up several notches. The trick here is to make sure your jeans fit right. If you are looking for some major outfit inspiration with regards to outfits featuring jeans and heels, you have come to the right spot.

In this day and age, there is a pair of jeans for every size and body type. There are hundreds, if not thousands of denim brands that each carry a range of different styles of jeans. I have talked about some of the different types of jeans In my post: how to wear ankle boots with straight leg jeans.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/42f616_53b6e09e7f1e48d1a1b69808d601da40_mv2.jpeg[/fusion_imageframe]

There are so many rules when it comes to choosing the right jeans for your body type but as a curvy woman, I would like to share some tips from my personal experience:

Tips for buying jeans as a curvy woman

– Go for denim with at least 3% spandex. You need the additional stretch to avoid jeans that are too tight around your hips and too large at your waist.
– If you have wider calves, you need wide-fitting straight leg jeans. Whenever jeans have less stretch and a narrower fit, you would need some additional space for your calves to fit smoothly.
– It’s better to size up and have the waist taken in than to order a size down and have no extra fabric to work with.
– High waist is your friend. You can give yourself more of an hourglass shape by going for high-waisted jeans with lots of spandex.

– Dark denim is the most flattering. Black jeans and dark wash jeans look especially great and smooth over any bumps, masks cellulite and are also slimming – a triple combo!
– When you find a brand that works for you, stick to it! You may want to grab the same pair in different colors if they fit you the way you want. You never know when they may sell out or stop carrying those jeans you love so much.
– Last but not least, just because a certain pair of jeans are really popular, it doesn’t mean they’ll work out for you. I learnt this the hard way when everyone was raving about a certain pair of jeans from Abercrombie. I got them and…let’s just say they ended up at a garage sale!

Shopping for jeans does not have to be daunting. I find that trying them on once in a store in order to figure out my size is enough for me to shop online the next time I’m ordering from the same brand. Also ensure to read reviews from women who share a similar body type to yours.

In today’s blog post, I would be showing you different looks you can achieve with a pair of jeans and some heels. Different body types would be taken into consideration to ensure that most people feel included. I would like to start off however by sharing some of my favorite places to shop for jeans.

Where to shop for jeans as a curvy woman

i) Old Navy

Old Navy has been killing it in the denim department for years. I have previously mentioned on this blog how one of my very 1st pairs of jeans when I arrived in Canada was a pair from Old Navy. I wire them so much I had holes in the inner thigh region from all the friction. Since 2009, they have included an even wider selection of jeans and you can find a denim style for every occasion.

The thousands of positive reviews would agree with me. I also appreciate how affordable Old Navy jeans are because most of us can’t afford to dish out $200 on a denim look. If you’re looking for good affordable jeans, they are your best option.

ii) Topshop for ASOS

Yes, I’m talking specifically about the Topshop Joni Jeans which I have been raving about for years. I have a review of the Joni Jeans here in case you are looking for some more information about them. I own the Joni jeans in black but knowing how well they fit, I would be getting the blue jeans as well in order to create even more cute outfits with my favorite pair of jeans.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_399025e89ddd4931a645d025f74fba01_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]The Hourglass joni jeans in particular are made with curvy women in mind and give you even more of a curve. I know the Jamie jeans are also a customer favorite and so you could look into those as well.

iii) Madewell

A brand that has pleasantly surprised me with their denim selection for curvy women is Madewell. Even the models are actually curvy! The prices may be the highest on this list but the quality appears to be top notch.

I particularly love the plus mid-rise vintage jean as seen on the model. It could easily be paired with heels or flats for some everyday wear.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_67016a09a4da4e899abad26297729030_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]

Now that you know which sites to check out for some great denim options, let’s talk about the many outfit ideas you can come up with once you have the right pair of jeans.

1) Jeans and blazer

This is such a classy and classic look that could be worn to the office or for happy hour right after. My favorite types of jeans to pair with a simple blazer are skinny jeans, mom jeans and boyfriend jeans. If going for boyfriend jeans, try opting for a v-neck tee underneath, it adds a little more femininity to your look; balancing the masculine and feminine vibes. Strappy heels or pumps work best with this look.

2) Jeans and leather jacket

Going for more of a badass vibe? Thrown on a leather jacket with a pair of straight-leg jeans or skinny jeans. If you’re going for a monochromatic look, pair your black skinny jeans with your black leather jacket for a chic moto look. You could always go for a brown leather jacket and a pair of heeled ankle boots during the Fall.

3) Jeans and sweater

During the winter season, you can still rock chic denim outfits by opting for warmer tops and layering with outerwear. Heeled ankle knee or thigh-high boots can be paired with skinny jeans and a warm sweater. A pair of boot cut jeans could also be worn with ankle boots for a sleek denim style. If it’s not too cold outside, feel free to replace the boots with a different pair of heels, depending on your personal style. I personally prefer open-toe heels with my jeans.

4) Jeans and crop top

Whether you’re showing some belly or not, a crop top adds some sexiness to an outfit and gives the illusion of a shorter torso. Consider pairing your favorite denim with cute crop tops for casual outfits that work great during the warmer months. Swap out your white sneakers for a pair of white mules to take this look up a notch.

5) Jeans and blouse

You could either head to the office on Casual Friday or head to a local pub with this look. With a pair of black heels and a white top, you would look office-appropriate. If you’re feeling a little vibrant, try a blouse in a bright color. You can always opt for lower heels if you’re not one to sport 5-inch heels. A kitten heel could work just fine. Don’t forget to accessorize with a shoulder bah.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_5bcba0865d7444cfa242b4a44c921ae7_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]Get the look HERE

6) Jeans and white tee

A great way to create an outfit on those days you feel like you have nothing to wear is by going back to the basics. Grab your favorite denim and a crisp white tee, throw on a pair of heels and you’ve got yourself a classic ensemble. A blazer or jacket is optional, depending on the weather. I always prefer this look with blue jeans for some reason. There’s just something so fresh and classic about it.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_192068bd849542988b2ce71cd9500eb5_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]

7) Jeans and long cardigan

Long cardigans already make you appear taller. Pairing them with skinny jeans is one of the easiest ways to create a chic Fall look. All that’s missing is the hat and the tee underneath. This outfit would be more of a casual look if you opting for a classic loafer but the heels really make it stand out. You could always opt for a heeled bootie during the colder months.

8) Jeans and corset

On my post on how to wear a corset with jeans, I go into further detail about this look. This is a great option to go with if you’re dressing for a special occasion and want to add a bit of va-va-voom to your look. It works best with your favorite pair of skinny jeans but could also work with a denim skirt or denim shorts during the summer. During the summer, try going for a pair of bright white denim jeans to stand out even more![/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_326041139b5b4aa0919b175e48aa973f_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]

9) Jeans and kimono

I have talked about my love for kimonos several times on the blog. They are a great layering piece to add to a basic denim look because they’re typically comprised of busy print and colors. A kimono could be worn with any style of denim and you could opt for a stiletto heel with an ankle strap, wedges or a platform heel for footwear. You can read more about styling kimonos with jeans HERE.

10) Jeans and high-low top

The best jeans to wear with a high-low top are straight jeans, This is just because they help to streamline your overall look, given that the high-low top is already adding volume on top. Feel free to play around with different colors of tops as well as heels. If your high low shirt is in a solid neutral color, try going for a pair of animal print heels to add some fun to your outfit. I also have a post on ways to wear a high low shirt  so you may want to check that out.[/fusion_text]https://theankaraqueen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/42f616_1170b23ab6604342bb6db8784cd88c0b_mv2.jpg[/fusion_imageframe]Image source here
