As an adult living in North America and making her own money, I was so excited to make my childhood dream come true. Florida is actually home to Disney World – which is like Disneyland on steroids. It’s an entire city of its own. Being the true Capricorn that I am, I had to plan everything ahead of time. 
We figured out the easiest way to get there was to drive in and park our rented car in the huge parking lot. Then there’s a boat that take you across a large body of water to the side with the amusement parks.
Not long after we got there, there was the big parade that started. You get to see all of your favorite Disney characters in larger-than-life form. I felt like a kid again! It’s no wonder it’s called the happiest place on Earth.
In addition to figuring things out such as the cost of parking and whether we could bring our own snacks, I had to figure out what I was going to wear. Knowing that I would be on my feet for a majority of the time, the first thing I thought to bring was a comfortable pair of shoes. Florida is generally pretty warm year-round and more so in September. My pair of shorts and simple white t-shirt did the trick when it came to my outfit.

I have come to realize that many people may wonder what they should wear on a Disneyland trip. You want to be comfortable but also cute, especially if this is a once in a lifetime trip. In today’s blog post, I would be sharing some great options of Disneyland outfits. These would work regardless of the time of year you are headed there as I would be offering options for both the warmer and colder months.

Before we dive into the different outfits you can wear to a Disneyland resort, I thought it would be a good idea to share what my packing list looked like before I headed for my own Disney vacation. Although I was only there for the day, I made sure to go with items that would help me be as comfortable as possible.
Packing list for Disneyland
– Bottle of water
– Snacks (nuts, chips, granola bars)
– Some cash
– Hand sanitizer
– Small pack of Kleenex
– Small bottle of sunscreen
– A bathing suit (if you intend to go to the water parks and rides such as splash mountain)
As you can tell, this list is tailored toa Disney trip during the summer months. Food is pretty expensive on site and so it’s a good idea to carry some snacks and water with you. You would be doing a lot of walking and also waiting in long lines. You don’t want to get dehydrated at some point. It’s wise to carry your credit card with you as it’s light and easy to fit into your bag.

Now that you have an idea of what to pack in your small bag or backpack, let’s talk about the different outfits you can wear at a Disneyland Park to stay comfortable yet chic. You want to have a great time while also looking cute in your pics. Keep reading to figure out the best outfits to wear at Disneyland. There is no specific dress codes but there are some looks that just work better at theme parks such as Disney theme parks.
What to wear at Disneyland
1) Shorts and a t-shirt
This was my choice of outfit when I visited Disney World. I opted for a pair of cargo shorts and a simple white shirt paired with white tennis shoes. I chose a pair of longer shorts to avoid my thighs from rubbing together and causing discomfort from the friction. The white sneakers made my outfit fresher and more fun.

I also carried a crossbody bag with all my items. This allowed to move freely. A pair of Bermuda shorts would also be a good option, especially if it comes with pockets. Throw on a pair of sunglasses and simple earrings to elevate your simple outfit. Who says you can’t be stylish in a casual look?

If you catch cold easily, pack a small cardigan which you could also tie around your waist.
2) A crop top and shorts
If you’re visiting Disneyland during the warmer months, this is a great way to show up. Crop tops have come a long way and they can now be flattering on all body types. If you do not wish to show your belly in your crop top, choose a pair of high-waisted shorts and perhaps a slightly longer crop top.

Feel free to play with crop tops in bright colors, especially if your shorts are in a solid color. Adding a kimono on top is a great way to make your outfit look more fashionable and protect your arms from the sun. Throw on a pair of sneakers and you’ve got yourself a stylish summer festival outfit.

3) A tank top + jeans
Tank tops are a good option if you’re creating a simple casual look with your jeans. Choose a pair of light blue jeans to create a more casual look You could add flannel shirts to your tank tops to make your look more interesting. My favorite way to rock this look is by tying by flannel shirt around my waist.

Full length jeans a great choice if you don’t wish to have your legs on display for whatever reason. They’re also a good option to go with during the winter months. Add a cardigan on top of your tank top if it’s a cold day of if visiting during the early mornings.
You can always add a jean jacket to keep warm in the cold weather.
4) A t-shirt with jeans
You can create a smart casual outfit by pairing a plain white t-shirt with a pair of light blue denim jeans. The lighter colors give this outfit a more casual appearance than a pair of dark denim jeans.

You can also replace the white tee with a graphic t-shirt, perhaps with your favorite character on it. Cropped jeans or skinny jeans are the best options during the hot months and also for rainy days. Complete your look with a pair of sneakers or flat sandals.
5) A mini dress
Keep things sexy by choosing a mini dress and showing off your legs. Mini dresses are meant to be worn if you’re not shy to show lots of skin. However, you can always add a pair of biker shorts or short shorts underneath to cover up.

A dress in a bright color or fun print is a great option during the summer. Add a light jacket to your outfit and a crossbody bag to show off your unique style during the cold months. You could also add a pair of leggings under your dress
6) Maxi skirt and a simple top
Maxi skirts are a wardrobe staple that can transition from the hot summer days to the chilly winter evenings. Pair your long skirts with a basic t-shirt or simple top for casual summer days at a theme park. A graphic t-shirt is a great choice If you want to add some edge to your look.

Complete it with a pair of flats, flip flops or sandals. A sun hat would be the perfect way to elevate your look. During the colder months, opt for a shirt with long sleeves for some extra warmth. Ankle boots could also be worn instead of sandals.
7) Lounge set
If average temperatures are looking low during your vacation, a jogger set is a great idea. You would look stylish while still keeping warm. I recommend going with a long-sleeved option on cold days. You could always opt for short sleeves during the warmer temperatures.

Play around with sets in different colors to show off your personal style and fun side. The long pants would not only keep you warm but also protect your legs from any scratches you may get on a ride. Jogger sets also work for chilly mornings. Just wear a tank top underneath in case it gets hot in the afternoon.
8) A crop top with a tulle skirt
Looking to show up like a Princess yourself at Disneyland? This is the best time to whip out your favorite tulle skirt and live out your childhood dreams. You could also pair your tulle skirt with a blouse or simple shirt if cropped tops are not your thing.

Complete your look with a pair of heels if you’re headed to the Magic Kingdom for a picture with the cast members. You could also opt for a pair of ballet flats if you’re going to be doing lots of walking. Don’t forget the statement necklace to elevate your overall look.

9) A denim dress
Denim dresses are a fun and casual way to dress up for causal events such as a trip to Disneyland. For a fun summer look, pair your denim dress with a white t-shirt. This works best with sleeveless or short-sleeved denim dresses. You could also wear this casual look to during the night time to check out the fireworks.

A pair of sneakers or slides would work great in terms of footwear. To add some sass to this look, choose a graphic tee instead of a regular white shirt. On chilly nights, add a cardigan on top and a pair of tights underneath.
10) A floral maxi skirt
A great way to style a floral skirt for a great time at Disneyland is by pairing it with a strapless top. The top could be cropped or not but showing more skin would make your look sexier. Complete your look with a pair of sandals in the color of your choice.

I find that my favorite looks involving strapless tops and floral skirts are those with white tops. There’s just something so fresh about white tops and floral skirts.

11) Denim shirt with a mini skirt
Whether you’re working with a mini denim skirt, a midi or a maxi one, adding a denim blouse is a great idea if you are creating a very casual look. You could choose a different shade of denim for each clothing item to create a more interesting look.

In terms of footwear, ankle boots are a great option. Ballet flats or a pair of flip flops would also work nicely. An easy idea to accentuate your waist is to add a belt on top of your shirt. You can also tie your shirt in the front to make your look more youthful.
12) Biker shorts + oversized shirt
This is one of my favorite looks on this list. I revert to a big old tee and shorts when I feel bloated. It’s really easy to make this look trendier by throwing on a pair of cool sneakers and a cap or a bucket hat.

It’s also a look you can pair with a fanny pack and look trendy in. A pair of black shorts are a good choice to go with but feel free to play with other colors. They would be so easy to pair with any other colors of tops as well as your Mickey Mouse ears.
